PAckages, Pricing & Payments

Do You Have Wedding Packages

Yes. For the next 6–12 months, we offer a Late Availability package based on 40 guests (minimum), including food, drinks, a photographer, and a DJ. For dates beyond this timeframe, you can build and tailor your day to your requirements.

can i change or remove elements of a package

We aim to be as flexible as possible. Some dates and packages require minimum guest numbers, but beyond this we are happy to tailor a package to suit your requirements.

what if i have more or fewer guests than the package numbers

The Late Availability package requires a minimum of 40 guests. You can increase numbers up to 110 during the day and 150 in the evening. If you expect fewer than 40 guests, we can create a package based on our venue hire pricing.

Do You Offer Payment Plans

Yes, we can discuss staggered payment options with you, helping you to spread the cost comfortably in the lead-up to your wedding day.

The Food & Drink

From lavish dinners to relaxed garden parties, discover more about the planning of your wedding food and drink below.

Is There Flexibility With Food & Drink Options

There is plenty of flexibility. Our kitchen can create something bespoke, or you can choose from three food menus, three drinks packages, and a variety of evening food options. From wood-fired pizzas to street food or a five-course meal, we are happy to discuss your ideas.

Do You Offer Menu Tastings

Yes. We host regular tasting events called our “Wedding Experience.” At around 6 months prior to your day, you’ll be invited to attend one of these special events to sample your menu and continue planning your day.

Is There a Children’s Menu

Yes, we offer a variety of children’s menu options.

Entertainment & Evening Details

With the formalities of the day over, you can unwind and enjoy your evening. Let us tell you all about the entertainment questions that our couples have.

CAn we Have Live Music or a Band

Yes, we’re very flexible with live music. We require suppliers to provide PAT testing certification and public liability insurance documentation.

Please do be aware that if a band is chosen for your evening celebrations, that access for set-up will depend entirely on guest numbers and how you choose to use the Cardeston Suite. We can help you with this bit. Some bands will take longer than others to set up; this is often due to levels of equipment – and we will ask for this information before we are able to work through timings and set up opportunities with you.

If a band is chosen, we recommend that they have no more than 3 members and are also able to provide DJ services for during their down time. This will mean more space for dancing!

Do You Allow Fireworks

Unfortunately, we’re unable to permit fireworks due to the surrounding wildlife and nearby farms.

What Time Does the Wedding day Need to Finish

The bar closes at midnight. After this, the lounges remain accessible for you and your guests – the castle is exclusively yours to enjoy.

The finishing touches

It’s the thoughtful details that truly elevate your wedding day. Our frequently asked questions outline the décor included at Rowton Castle, as well as any styling considerations, to help you plan with confidence.

do you provide any decor

We have a house florist and provide floral arrangements in the Reception and Lounge areas. We also supply cake stands, a cake knife, easels for signage, and a post box for cards. Decorative styling beyond this is left to you, so you can personalise the castle to match your theme.

do you allow candles

Yes, candles are permitted as long as they are placed in suitable containers such as tealight holders or candlesticks. Candles are not allowed on fireplace mantelpieces to protect the interiors.

can i have confetti

Yes, real or dried petal confetti is allowed and must be thrown outside against the castle backdrop. Our preference is always that real petals are sourced via your chosen florist for the day, and that dried options are purchased from Shropshire Petals.

We provide a recommended suppliers list, but you are not required to use them.
